The Featherweight Contender saddle is based on the Josey Lightspeed model and features ultra-short skirts and an all-leather design that weighs just 24 lbs. It boasts the same reliable Josey Ultimate tree with a 5″ cantle for optimal stability during runs. The saddle also incorporates roughout and suede materials to provide extra grip and enhance performance during competitions. The saddle’s swells are strategically placed to help riders maintain the correct position and keep the horn readily available. The 4″ slanted forward horn enables riders to push down while turning and pull up when exiting the turn. The deep, dished center pocket keeps riders in stride with their horses, and the dished seat allows for a comfortable and secure position.
